Diesel locomotive series 2016 / SIEMENS ER 20: The Siemens ER 20 is a diesel fuelled locomotive that caters for all needs. Its diesel electric power transmission and AC technology makes this type of locomotive very reliable as it not only allows the operation of heavy block trains but also fast transfer trips with up to 140 km/h. Thanks to modern construction principles this type of locomotive is highly economical while producing a comparably small amount of noise and emission. By removing the train heating system, the tank volume was increased.
